Dan joined up with The Office of Letters and Light in the early months of 2009 with dreams of a simple part-time job and a belly-laughing-and-lemonade-sipping lifestyle. His assumption of non-profits as feel-good retreats for liberal slackers was soon charley-horsed by his first iteration of Script Frenzy and KO’d by National Novel Writing Month during the following November. Eventually learning to love the feel of the OLL grindstone against his beard, Dan is now a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the team. But as many programmers and sys-admins must, he seeks solitude from the noise of CPU cycles and the attitude of TCP frames from time to time. The redwoods of Oakland—such benevolently poor electron media—are his closest and kindest of stewards.
